Audio for emotional emergencies

Meditation for life's most awkward moments. Not spiritual. Not corporate. Just real tools for when things get a bit much.

The story

Why I built this

I built The Daily Meds with AI after years of it living in my head as one of those ideas filed under “one day.” I'd been pushing too hard for too long, pulled in too many directions, and finally just sat down and did it. I wasn't in crisis. I was just done waiting. Most meditation apps have that generic wellness edge — zen, spiritual, or worse, corporate — like they were made by someone who has never actually had a problem and just wants to make everything feel calm. But the world right now is genuinely chaotic, and we need something more honest and more grounded to cope with the lives we are actually living.

I'd been hosting meditations on Insight Timer since 2019. I love that platform, but it gives creators no direct access to their own audience, and you can't promote anything else you do through it. I could see from messages that people were using my meditations after nights out, during comedowns, in the middle of anxiety spirals, before big decisions, and after losses. People aren't meditating in quiet rooms with candles. Most of us never have. We meditate in bed with our hearts racing, in a festival toilet when we've done too much and need five minutes to come back to ourselves, or in the back of a taxi trying to hold it together. Nobody had made anything for that. I wanted to fill that gap and meet people exactly where they are.

I tried everything that existed. The gentle voices telling me to imagine a peaceful meadow when what I needed was someone to just help me breathe. The clinical apps that felt like homework. The spiritual ones that required beliefs I didn't hold. None of it was built for real life. Especially not the messy parts.

So in November 2025, with no technical background, I built the first version myself on Lovable. Ten days. I figured if I could feel my way through the hard nights and life's most awkward moments, I could figure out vibe coding. Then I switched to Claude Code for phase two, tackled Next.js, and built the whole thing again from scratch. If you're reading this, it means we went live. That one felt good.

“I didn't build this because I had everything figured out. I built it because I needed it and it didn't exist.”

The mission

Practical tools for real life

Daily Meds is not a spiritual practice. It's not about enlightenment, chakras, or becoming a calmer person. It's nervous system regulation for people who live full lives — including the messy bits.

Practical

Every session is built around a specific feeling — not a vague wellness goal. Hungover. Anxious. Heartbroken. You pick the moment, we have the session.

Grounded

No woo. No jargon. No pretending you need to be spiritual to regulate your nervous system. These are real techniques that actually work.

Human

Built by someone who has actually been there. Who has needed this on a Sunday morning and found nothing that felt right. That's why this exists.

How it works

Three steps. That's it.

1

Choose your mood

Pick how you actually feel right now — not how you want to feel. Hungover, anxious, heartbroken, overwhelmed. We have a session for it.

2

Press play

Guided audio sessions from 5 to 45 minutes. No setup, no equipment. Just put your headphones in wherever you are.

3

Feel better

Your nervous system actually shifts. Not because of magic — because these techniques work. Come back whenever you need.

Background

Natalie Lauraine

I'm Natalie Lauraine, originally from Plymouth, Devon, UK — born in a place literally called The Sound, which feels about right. I grew up in rave and club culture and have spent the last decade living and working in Ibiza at the intersection of music, wellness, and the kind of nights that teach you things therapy doesn't.

I'm a certified Alchemy Rewire™ Navigator — a breathwork and nervous system regulation method — and I've been creating meditation and audio wellness content since 2019, with over 9,000 reviews on Insight Timer. Along the way I developed my own niche: Audio Hugs™, spatial audio live transmissions recorded in Dolby Atmos.

I'm not a clinician. I'm someone who has been in the rooms, at the festivals, through the comedowns, and out the other side. I stopped taking drugs in 2011, alcohol in 2014, spent three years celibate, and came off social media entirely from 2018 to 2022. I've rebuilt my whole life from the inside out. I know those dark emotions well. That's what this is built on.
